SPOILER ALERT: This
is a recap of the episode, so if you haven’t watched it and don’t want to know
what happens, exit now…
QUICK LOOK: Almost every vamp we love is at Camp
Truman, Warlow meets his maker, and Sookie finds out what really happened the
night her parents died.
So, Ben and Sookie are
still in foreplay mode on the sofa.
Sookie tells him “get the fuck off me or die Warlow” and says she has a
really big vampire killing light ball so he better do what she says. He immediately goes into his British
accent (I didn’t know people in 3500 BC had a British accent) and tells her she
doesn’t understand. She is his
intended, he waited a millennium for her and he loves her. She asks why he killed her
parents. He claims that her
parents were planning to kill her that night and he saved her. She doesn’t believe him and blasts him
with a fairy fireball. Across the
cemetery at Bill’s house Jess is high as a kite and overcome with guilt. Bill hugs her and tries to comfort her
until she puts the moves on him.
He stops her and tells her she’s high. Then, Bill feels Warlow’s pain from Sookie’s fireball
(because he’s Lilith and Warlow is her progeny). Bill rushes over to Sookie’s and finds her in her underwear
mid-fight. Ben threatens to kill
Bill because he broke Sookie’s heart (aww, how chivalrous) until Bill tells him
Ben already killed him once. As
his maker (and totally surprising to Ben) he commands Ben to come with him.
While Bill is gone, Andy
shows up at his house armed and ready.
The front door has been left open.
When he gets inside he sees his little girl’s dead and strewn across the
living room floor. He checks to
see if they’re alive. Jess sneaks
out and Andy hears one of his girls gasping for breath. He tells her “Daddy will make it okay”
and takes her away from the house.
He brings her to the police station and gets a vial of vampire blood out
of the evidence room and gets her to drink it.
Eric shows up to meet Pam
and Tara. Tara tells him that the
LAVTF just caught Pam. Eric
follows to where they snatched her and he and Tara give themselves up to the
LAVTF. Pam has been escorted to
Camp Truman and sees they are doing everything from de-fanging vampires to
watching them have sex “all in the name of science”.
Burrell has had his men
take Willa away to Camp Truman.
Sara tries to appeal to him explaining Willa is no longer his little
girl. Vampires took away her
sister and her ex husband. Then
she decides this is the perfect time to tell him she wants to have his baby,
but she needs a ring on her finger first.
He tells Sara that no one can replace Willa and this is not the time to
be having that conversation.
(Seriously, even though I’m not on his side, his daughter was just
turned into a vampire and attacked him pick your moment’s lady. This isn’t it…) He leaves to escort Willa to camp while
Sara tells him you don’t turn down a woman who came to you in black lingerie.
Bill and Ben are back at
Bill’s. Ben wants to know how Bill
is able to control him. Bill
explains he drank Lilith’s blood so he is now also Lilith and she has shown him
memories of what Ben did to her.
Bill commands him to resist the urge to kill him, draws blood from him
and tells him not to try and leave the house. Flashback to 3500BC:
A loin clothed and badly wigged Ben leaves his village to go to the
river to get water. Naked Lilith
(does this chick ever wear clothes) comes up to him and wants to know what he
is. They have 3-second sex and she
informs him that God spoke to her of a creature like him. He is destined to save the
vampires. Ben tells Billith she
made him into something he despises.
Billith declares Ben is the vampire’s salvation.
After being turned away
by Burrell, Sara goes to visit Jason.
I literally yelled at him to run like hell, but of course he couldn’t
hear me. He is a little
apprehensive at first. The last
time they saw each other she shot him with a paint ball gun. She tells him she is different now and
she wants to save his soul. She
believes she was supposed to help him see God’s light, but she ran at the first
sign of trouble. He tells her he’s
not the same dumb kid he was at Fellowship camp, but she convinces him they
have a connection. She wants to be
with him again and tells him God told her to fuck him. Like, literally those exact words. Jason, never letting a sexual
opportunity pass, sleeps with her.
Alcide and Jackson are at
some backwoods establishment called “The Unfriendly Possum”. The name is pretty fitting for the
wolves hanging out inside. Alcide
talks to a seasoned prostitute and asks if she’s seen a shifter who is
traveling with a light-skinned woman and a little girl. She claims she hasn’t seen anyone like
that and blows him off saying she needs to get back to work. Next he goes up to a large man sitting
near Jackson at the bar. He
doesn’t even get to ask the guy anything before the stranger tells him to go
fuck himself. Jackson explains
that country wolves don’t trust city wolves. Then he tries to give some fatherly advice by asking if he’s
doing all of this because it’s the right thing to do or for “that piece of ass
that has taken over your life?” (aka Rikki; really, what is up with Alcide and
crazy women?) Alcide throws him on
the floor and tells Jackson not to question his packmaster. Jackson reminds him that he never
joined Alcide’s pack. Alcide tells
him to get out of his life and Jackson asks for some traveling money, which
Alcides tosses out into the air.
Eric and Tara arrive at
Camp Truman. He tells her to find
Pam. Eric is put into a white room
with three other vampires.
Suddenly, three rubber balls fall from the ceiling. Eric and two others grab the balls, the
vamp left with his hands empty gets shot.
This goes on until Eric is the first to grab a gun and shoot (but not
kill) the only other vampire. I’m
guessing this is some sort of testing to see which vampires are the strongest
and oldest. They could’ve just
asked though… Afterwards, Eric is
put in a rec-room type area with other male vampires. He asks if anyone has seen Pam, but they
all scatter and say nothing leaving him a table to himself.
Jason wakes up to Jess
beating on his door. Sara is
asleep in his bedroom. (Shit, this
isn’t good.) She is upset and tells
him she did an unspeakable thing and she doesn’t know why God doesn’t just
strike her down. She rambles for a
moment until he tells her he is having a hard time keeping up. She asks if he ever loved her and if so
what was it he loved about her. He
says he did love her, mostly for her heart, but everything with Hoyt just made
it so complicated. Jess confesses
she is scared that Bill may be the devil and is paranoid, especially since she
is high on fairy blood. Sara comes
out into the living room and gets pissed that Jason has a vampire girlfriend he
neglected to tell her about. Jess
realizes she is “Steve Newlin’s ex-wife”, which enrages Sara even more. She is her own person, after all (she
claims). Sara calls Jessica a
demon whore causing Jess to grab her and pin her down. Sara stands up to her quoting the bible
before rescinding Jessica’s invitation into Jason’s house. Um, how did she do that? You have to be the owner of the house… Jason tries to stop her, but as soon as
Jess gets outside there are lights shined in her eyes. It’s the LAVTF (who Sara called). They take Jessica as Jason tries to
stop them. Sara tells him her body
is a temple and he defiled it with his “vampire-loving pecker” while storming
out of the house.
Back at camp, Pam is
forced into a therapy session.
Basically if she doesn’t want to be studied her other option is to get
shot by the hidden guards. She
decides to lie down on the couch, but then jumps up because she’s worried it’s
a therapy session. She doesn’t
want to talk about her feelings (especially since she’s feeling vulnerable
about her relationship with Eric right now). She asks if she can be transferred to the “fuck room”
because she’d much rather have sex with someone. Unfortunately, the “fuck room” is only for level 3 patients
and she is only a level one, so they are interested in her intellectually. The doctor will ask her a series of
questions and if he believes her answers she will be able to feed from the LDP
(Living Donor Program). If she
doesn’t cooperate she gets a ration of watered down TrueBlood. She prefers a donor and specifies she
wants a female. The doctor wants
to know what value she places on human life. She tells it like it is in true Pam style, it depends on the
human, but most she couldn’t give a damn about. He believes her so she get’s one short feeding from the
donor.
Sookie visits
Merlotte’s. Lafayette asks what
she is doing at her place of work, because he knows she’s not actually there to
work. (A little cast joke about
the fact that Sookie never seems to actually work on the show.) They go into Sam’s office to talk and
she tells him about Warlow. She
explains what happened and how Ben/Warlow said he loved her. She felt like he really believed he did
love her. Lafayette tells her she
has the messed up talent of seeing the good in every creature she meets and she
shouldn’t buy what Ben is selling.
She tells Lafayette she needs to find her way back to the truth and she
needs his help.
At a booth in Merlotte’s,
Terry is talking to an old marine buddy of his named Justin. He wonders why Terry all of a sudden
looked him up since they haven’t seen each other in years. Terry confesses that he killed
Patrick. He wants to know if
Justin is still a good shooter and if he will kill Terry. Terry will pay him. Terry explains that he tried to kill
himself, but he couldn’t do it. He
believes he deserves to die.
Arlene walks up and introduces herself. I guess she is suspicious because Terry has been acting
strange lately. Once she’s gone
Justin asks if she knows about Patrick.
Terry says she does and she is pushing him to go on like nothing
happened, but he can’t do that.
Justin says he will kill Terry for free. (WTF?) Terry asks for a few days to get his
affairs in order, but he doesn’t want to know when the bullet is coming.
Andy is at home watching
his daughter sleep. Holly is
there, trying to comfort him. Andy
says the girl told him Jess was the one who attacked her and her sisters. Holly is surprised because Jess is such
a nice vampire. She thinks maybe
it was a terrible accident. Andy
also tells her that his daughter said Bill was taking their blood and
performing experiments. He grabs
his gun to go after Bill, but Holly stops him. She pleas with him saying Bill is much stronger and will
kill Andy and then his daughter will have no one. Holly calls off the search and they decide to tell everyone
the other girls went to live with their mother. Andy declares he can’t just sit back and not do anything and
Holly tells him she will help him get through this.
Jess is put into the women’s quarters at
camp and finds Tara. She tells her
how she ate the four fairy girls and she is totally fucked up. She asks if Tara believes in the
devil. She says she doesn’t, but
her mother sure did. Jess wonders
if vampires are bad and realizes she killed the fairy girls because she wanted
too. She realizes the hunger inside
her will never go away. Hmm, could
she be the vampire that dies this season?
She gives herself up for a higher cause? Their daily ration of watered down TrueBlood is being doled
out. Jessica gives hers to Tara
saying she can’t eat it. Suddenly
all the females are ready to attack Jess, but Tara blocks her ready to
fight. Then, a vampire woman comes
up and makes all the other vampires spread out. She asks what is wrong with Jessica and Tara tells her
Jessica is fine. The woman says
she guesses they owe her then.
(Who is this new vampire chick?)
Later, Tara sees Willa being escorted through the camp. She calls to her, but the guard tells
Tara she is a VIP so she gets her own special room. Once the guard gets Willa to her cell he tells her he has an
arrangement with some of the female vamps in the camp. He offers to scratch her back if she’ll
lift his balls (yuck).
In the doctor’s office, Pam
tells him that vampires don’t form special bonds. She says she personally feels no remorse for killing other
vampires. The doctor starts to
talk about her maker. She tells
him her maker released her so they no longer have a special bond. He doesn’t believe she’s not upset
about it, but she tells him humans are special in their love for pain. Humans consider it a virtue. Their lives are pathetically brief, but
vampires are immortal so when they say forever it is forever, so pain is a
worthless emotion. She confesses
that at one time her maker was everything to her, then he released her and it
did hurt. However, now she is over
it and he is nothing to her. The
doctor tells her he doesn’t believe her and she says it’s a good thing she’s
already stuffed from the donor.
Nicole and Sam wake up
from their night of grief sex. She
is acting all weird and he asks if she is okay. She tells him she always wondered what it would be like to
live like a shifter. Now she
knows, and its horrible having to hide who you are and being on the run. Emma wakes up. While Sam is attending to Emma, Nicole
makes a call from the payphone.
Sam catches her and hangs it up.
She wanted to let her parents know she wasn’t dead. Sam says it’s better that they do think
so. She gets mad and they argue. Across the courtyard someone hears them
fighting, Jackson Herveaux (who spent the night with the were-hooker, so we
know where Alcide’s money went).
As Jason leaves Sookie a
voicemail telling her he messed up and he has to fix it (presuming Jess),
Sookie and Lafayette are getting prepared to summon Sookie’s parents. He asks the spirits to help him find
Corbitt and Michelle Stackhouse.
He can’t get them at first and tells Sookie that “some folks just want
to stay dead”. Then they show
up. Lafayette tells them to calm
the fuck down. Sookie tells her
parents that Warlow is there and asks if they tried to kill her the night they
died. The spirits of her
parents are so upset that Lafayette can’t understand what they are trying to
say, so Sookie grabs his arm and hears her father. There is a flashback showing Warlow visiting Sookie’s
parents. He tells them she is a
fairy and she is very special. He
also shows them the contract promising Sookie will be his. They tell him he cannot have her. They will not let him turn her into a
vampire. Her dad tells Warlow to
leave, but Warlow promises to come back for her when she is of age. Corbitt’s spirit enters Lafayette and
Sookie asks how he could kill his own daughter. He says he was going to do it because he loved her and
didn’t want her to be made into a vampire. She argues with him and he comes to the conclusion that she
must be falling for Ben so he needs to kill her. He grabs her and puts her in the trunk of Lafayette’s car. She tries appealing to Lafayette, but
Corbitt tells her Lafayette can’t hear her.
Bill goes to check on Ben
and finds that he has Takahashi hostage.
He threatens to kill him. Flashback
to 3946BC: Ben goes back to his
village to see his parents. Billith
says she told him not to go back, but he wouldn’t listen. He see’s his parent’s, who are happy to
see him. As soon as they hug him
he gets the urge to kill them and slaughters the entire village, except for
little Niall. Billith tells him he
is destined for great things, but Ben says he wants the vampires to be
extinct. We see a vision of him
burning Lilith in a cave as it said in the vampire bible.
Sara brings Burrell to
the camp and tells him she is sorry that she got mad at him and she has a surprise
for him. They go into a room where
Steve is waiting with some other people.
Burrell wonders how Sara’s ex husband is a surprise and Sara tells him
there is more to come. They are in
a room with a two-way mirror and Eric is brought into the other room. Burrell tells Eric that Willa came home
and asks if Eric knows how Willa became a vampire. Eric replies, “um, fuck you”. Burrell reveals he banned Willa to the camp. Eric is surprised that he locked up his
own daughter, but Burrell says nothing can change his convitions. Sara opens a door and there is a wooden
stake waiting there for Eric to grab and he tells Burrell to send him someone
to kill. Another door opens and
Pam comes out holding a stake.
Sara explains to Burrell that Pam is Eric’s progeny, thanks to Steve
filling her in with the intel.
Sara demands that Eric and Pam fight like gladiators and Pam and Eric
look at each other.
Lafayette (possessed by
Corbitt) stops the car. He opens
the trunk and Sookie kicks him, but she can’t overcome him. She tries to fight him as he drags her
down to the river. He starts to
drown her.
End credits…
There were some crazy
moments tonight! First, a moment
of silence for the three fae girls who died. Poor Andy. I’m
guessing this is going to change his view on vampires. In the previews, it looks like Jason is
trying to join the LAVTF in order to find Jessica. I don’t think he knows yet that the unspeakable thing she
did was kill Andy’s (Jason’s partners) daughters. Sara is still just as batshit crazy as she ever was and
Steve Newlin will do anything to save himself. Too bad he hasn’t figured out it won’t do anything to change
his fate over the long run. Sookie
didn’t get any good news. It has
to suck finding out your parents tried to kill you and by possession are trying
to kill you again. Remember: never
meet with a medium by yourself.
That way if they do the Whoopi Goldberg thing from ghost you’ve got someone
there to watch your back. How will
Eric and Pam get out of this debacle?
It’s obvious that Eric still cares for Pam, she has misunderstood why he
has done what he has. She also
still cares for him, so I don’t think they would ever really kill each other. Hopefully they can play off each
other’s instincts.
Until next week, bon
chance!
