Ep 7.6 "Karma"

QUICKLOOK:  Arlene dabbles in couple’s therapy, Pam and Eric make a new friend and Sookie continues her penchant for getting those she loves in trouble.

Eric carries around the head Yakuza’s jaw in his hand.  His vision is a little blurry when more catch up to him, but he manages to get them all.  More keep coming, but he finally stops because they have Pam in chains.  The men bring Pam and Eric to the Yakanoma Corporation and set them in a room with a window and a timer that counts down to dawn.

Bill makes an appointment with a lawyer to get his affairs in order.  Jessica comes in and overhears him say he has Hep V over the phone.  She catches Bill before he leaves and tells him she and James had a fight.  She asks if he’s okay and he says he’s fine, but he has to go take care of some business.

Lafayette takes Lettie Mae to his house so he can watch her.  She wants to go home to the Reverend, but Lafayette knows she doped him up with Benadryl.  James is there and wants to know if he can stay the night.  Lafayette warns Lettie Mae not to go after James.  Once James hears that Lettie Mae thinks she can hear Tara when she’s had vamp blood, he offers to give her some of his.  He thinks drugs can take your mind to a certain consciousness and maybe Tara really is reaching out to her mother.  Lafayette is skeptical, but he’s going to take some blood with her.  James goes to the storm cellar and tells them to enjoy the ride.

Jason comes home to a house full of candles and rose petals.  Violet is waiting for him.  He asks if she is feeling okay and she says she just wants to show him that she appreciates him.  She says when she told him he was her’s, she forgot to tell him she was his.  Then she gives him a blow job.

Bill arrives at Kapnek law offices which has a waiting room full of what I’m guessing is HV vamps trying to get their personal affairs in order.  Bill takes a number and is told the wait time is around 7 hours, which takes them into daylight.  However, Anubis is running taxis and will drive Bill’s car to his house for an extra fee in order for him to avoid the daylight.

Pam say’s “this is bullshit”, she never thought she’d meet the true death chained up in some shitty room with wall to wall carpet.  The Yakuza men escort an Asian man in who is dressed in a white Texan suit with a big cowboy hat and a Texas accent to match.  He introduces himself as Gus, the President of the North American branch of Yakanoma Corp.  The corporation is now bankrupt.  He asks if they know who Sara Newlin is and if they know where she is.  Eric says they know nothing.  If they don’t give them any information he will let them burn in the sun.  Pam wants to tell him, but Eric says they will kill them as soon as they have the information.  Eric agrees to tell Gus where Sara is if he can be the one to kill her, but Gus wants the honor.  Pam tells them to come to a deal and stop measuring their “fucking dicks”.  Eric says he can kill her and will give Gus the body.  Gus closes the window.  Pam tells Gus Sara has a sister and now that her parents are dead, her sister is the only one she can run to.  Gus asks for the address, but Eric says they will go together at nightfall.

Sara breaks into her sister’s house.  Once she’s inside Amber goes to attack her, but ends up coughing up blood.  Sara is surprised that she is sick, but Amber tells her she did this to her and then she passes out.

Jessica calls Jason and tells him he needs to bring Sookie over to Bill’s house right away.  She can’t tell him why over the phone.  When he leaves, we see Violet is awake and is not happy.  She goes into a rage in the bedroom.  Jason gets to Sookie’s.  She’s in bed with a hangover.  He tells her Jessica needs her over at Bill’s ASAP.  Jason throws her some clothes and goes to make her some coffee.

Andy finds Wade in Adelyn’s bed.  He goes crazy and chases Wade out into the yard naked.  Holly wakes up and asks what is going on and Arlene wakes up as well.  Holly tells Andy to leave her son alone and asks if Andy hit him.  Andy swears he didn’t.  Wade says he loves Adelyn.  Holly decides to take him home and will talk to Andy later.  Holly and Arlene get to Bellefleur’s, which is a mess from Vince and his idiot posse.  Arlene tells her “ shit happens and you clean it up”.

Sam brings Nicole breakfast.  She is on the phone with her mom and she tells him she is going home to her parents for good.  She doesn’t belong there.  She tells him he’s the mayor of crazy town and she wants him to come with her.  He tells her Bon Temps is his home and he feels safe there.

Sookie and Jason get to Bill’s.  Jessica tells them he has Hep V.  Jason and Sookie are skeptical, but Jessica says she heard him say it.  Jason says Bill is “one tough mother fucker” and he’ll beat this, he was a god six months ago, after all.  Sookie remembers she was showered in blood by one of the HV vamps and let Bill feed on her the other night.  She wants Jason to take her to the clinic to get tested.  Jessica asks them to call her with the results.  Sookie gets her finger pricked for the test.  The nurse says they will call her later that day with the results.  She tells Jason they will have to wait.  Jason wants to take her home, but she says she doesn’t want to go home.

Bill listens to people in the waiting room and notices his Hep V is starting to spread at a rapid pace going down his arm.  The man next to him asks what stage he’s in and he tells him he only started having symptoms the night before.  The man decides to change seats.

Lafayette and Lettie Mae find Tara strapped to a cross with the snake speaking some crazy language.  They free her from the cross, but then she disappears and runs off.  They come upon her digging in the yard of the house they lived at when she was young.  All of a sudden they are ripped out of the dream (?) by Reverend Daniels who has come for Lettie Mae.  She is upset that he interrupted them.  Lafayette says he believes her now.  Lettie Mae says Tara wants them to go to the house because there is something there.  Reverend Daniels tells her she has to choose the V or him.  She says it’s not about the V, it’s about Tara and she’s not going to ignore her.  This is her redemption,  and it’s something she has to do.  He leaves.

Andy comes to Bellefleur’s to talk to Holly.  He is still angry about finding Wade and Adelyn in bed together.  Holly ends up calling Adelyn a fairy slut.  Arlene intervenes and tries to make them realize they are teenagers and they think they are in love.  Holly and Andy need to talk to each other and them because they are going to be a family.  They apologize to each other and go to the house to talk to the kids.  They find Rocky who tells them the kids ran off to Fort Bellefleur so they could be together.

Sookie tells Jason she can still sense Bill.  She loved Alcide and probably even Eric, but Bill holds a special place as her first love.  Jason says he’s never felt that.  Maybe some with Jessica, but Hoyt was in the middle of it.  He says he definitely doesn’t feel that way about Violet, that she basically scares him.  Sookie says he doesn’t know how much time he has left and he shouldn’t spend it with someone he doesn’t love.  He decides to break it off with Violet.  Sookie gets the call that she has Hep V.  So maybe her fairy blood makes it spread faster?

Bill finally gets in to see the lawyer.  He wants to leave everything to Jessica, but the lawyer tells him that progeny aren’t considered under the law.  He gives her his original will, which was created after he was turned.  Thanks to Governor Burell, a will written after you were a human will not be accepted by the state.  She tells him it’s working its way through the court but that will take time.  He can adopt Jessica, which will take around 5 months to a year.  He tells her the virus is spreading quicker than usual.  She says there is one way to expedite the process and that is to pay $10 million dollars to move him to the front of the line.  He tries to glamour her, but she’s wearing anti-glamour contact lenses.  He says he’ll take his business elsewhere.  Bill stabs her in the throat and leaves.

Amber wakes up to Sara watching her.  She tells her some people are trying to kill her and she wants to hide there for a few days.  She tells her to get the fuck out.  Sara tells her sister that the woman who infected all the vampires was Sara Newlin and she’s a different person now.  Her name is Newme (don’t know how to spell that) now.  Sara thinks she was put on the earth to help people.  Sara tells Amber there was an antidote and she drank it all so she can heal her sister.  Eric, Pam and Gus get to Ambers house.  They see she is completely healed.

Jason practices breaking up with Violet.  He goes inside and finds the bedroom destroyed with a note saying she left.  Jason sighs with relief and says “Goodbye and good riddance.”  However, Violet is at Fort Bellefleur and says she wants to talk to Adelyn.  She tells her and Wade it’s not safe out there with Adelyn being a fae.  She has somewhere she can take them and wants them to ditch their phones so they can’t be tracked.

Sookie tells Jessica she is positive and she got Bill sick.  She tells Jess she’s sorry.  She didn’t know and didn’t mean to get him sick.  Bill gets home and can barely make it into the house.  I don’t know about you, but I think Sookie owes him one last hurrah and it better be a good one.  He opens the door to find Sookie and Jessica crying.

End credits…

Only four episodes left.  Thank the gods there is an anti-dote and Eric better damn sure get it within the next four episodes! Even if that means he has to drink from Sara Newlin (which she knows she would enjoy.)  Who is really surprised that Sookie gave Bill Hep V?  I mean, she’s pretty much the death of everyone.  She leaves destruction in her wake wherever she goes and with whomever she does.  Hopefully Bill, Pam and Eric will get the anti-dote!

Until next week! Bon Chance!

TB Ep. 7.5 “Lost Cause”

QUICKLOOK:  Eric and Pam attend a Republican gala, romantic unions are formed and broken and Bon Temps throws a party at Sookie’s house.

Eric cleans off his throne at Fangtasia while Willa screams that she doesn’t want to go with Eric and Pam.  Eric was a horrible maker who left her and Tara was the one who taught her how to feed and control herself.  Eric agrees that he has been a horrible maker to her and apologizes, but says he doesn’t regret turning her and is proud of how she has turned out.  He tells Willa of their plan to go after Sara Newlin.  She says she will tell them what she knows about Sara if Eric releases her, so he does.  She tells them Sara has a sister named Amber Mills who is a vampire and lives somewhere in Dallas.  They prepare to leave and Ginger has a hissy fit because she thinks she will never see Eric again.  She wants to go with him and Pam.  She says she’s been his sex slave for 15 years and they’ve never even had sex in any form.  Either he takes her or he has sex with her before he goes.  He reminds her that he’s diseased and she say’s “so am I”.  The next scene shows her hanging onto the outside of a coffin screaming while some men are loading it into a car.

Sookie returns home to find Lafayette and James waiting for her.  She tries to do her mourning ritual of cleaning, but Lafayette tells her she needs some sleep.  He tucks her in and she asks him to stay.  He tells her he’ll be there when she wakes up.  When she wakes the next evening she sees Jackson packing up his truck.  She gets downstairs and finds a whole spread on the dining room table complete with decorations and candles.  Jackson comes in and tells her he went ahead and packed Alcide’s belongings.  The hardest thing when Alcide’s mom died was going through her things so he wants to keep them until Sookie is ready to look through them.  Laughter comes from the kitchen and Lafayette, James and Jenny (Jackson’s girlfriend) come into the room.  Jenny has been cooking all day and they plan to throw a party for the whole town that night.  Sookie is taken aback that they would throw a party in her house the day after her boyfriend died, but Jenny tells her death doesn’t have to be a sad thing.  Sookie isn’t down with the plan, but Lafayette says they need to celebrate life because that’s what Alcide and Tara would want.  Bill comes to the door with flowers and Sookie goes to get dressed.

In Dallas, Eric and Pam find Amber, who is also sick Hep V.  Amber tells them she was not ripped from her family’s arms and turned into a vampire.  She had a boyfriend who turned her named Jeremy.  They lived together until he died of Hep V while Sara paid her money to stay in the coffin. Eric asks Amber to help him find Sara.  She asks if Eric will kill her and he says he probably will so she says she’s in.  Pam definitely likes Amber, but she says she hasn’t made up her mind about Pam yet.  (Hmm, a little Pam romance?)  Amber informs them Sara called that morning looking for a place to stay, but she told her to fuck off, so she likely went to her parents for help.  Amber says her parents won’t be home because they will be at the gala being held for Ted Cruz at the Bush library.

Lettie Mae tries to talk Reverend Daniels into going to the party at Sookie’s so she can say goodbye to Tara.  He wants them to stay home because there will be too many temptations at the party for her.  She spikes their dinner with Benadry and sneaks out once he’s passed out on the couch.

The party is rocking at Sookie’s.  Arlene, Holly and Jane are drinking to their close call with death.  Jane even says she’s going to clean up her life and get her shit together, tomorrow.  Bill broods in the corner and remembers something from his past.  It’s right before the Civil War began and Lincoln has called the banners.  He listens to the men rally at the local tavern about how they are going to beat the Yankees.  Bill speaks his mind and tells them they cannot win the war and the owner of the tavern (last name Bodehouse) kick’s him out.

Sookie comes downstairs and runs into Jason and Violet.  Violet tells Sookie that even though she is not supposed to say she is sorry for her loss, she is.  She has lost hundreds of boyfriends and remembers how painful the first few losses were.  Sookie is a bit weirded out so Bill swoops in to save her by offering her some food.  Jackson reminisces about his son and how much he loved Sookie, which makes her feel like crap.  He calls Alcide a hero, which he is.  Lettie Mae shows up.  Lafayette tells her she can’t come in causing a scene and proceeds to throw her out, but she tells Sookie she’s sorry for her loss.  Sookie asks if Lettie Mae would like to stay and say a few words about Tara.  Lettie Mae says Tara was also a hero because she sacrificed her life to save Lettie Mae.  She wants to raise a non-alcoholic glass to Tara.

Jessica is outside.  Andy tells her she should come inside, but she tells him she can’t.  He asks her if she ever thought about the fact that her torturing herself over his girls keeps the pain alive for him as well.  He says she’s been there for Adelyn and helped Holly.  He tells her life is too short and they need to move forward, both of them.  He asks Jess if there is a ring he can borrow and she figures out he is going to propose to Holly.  Sookie says they can borrow Gran’s ring.  She left it to Jason to give to the girl he was supposed to marry.  Violet interjects she knows Jason is his and doesn’t need a ring to tell her that.  He gives a look that says he’s not exactly happy about that.  Everyone thinks it’s beautiful, except for Violet who shrugs at it and says, “that’s it”.  Sookie and Jason give him the ring.  They go downstairs.  Jason sees Adelyn and Wade and tells them they are going to want to see what’s about to happen.  Then he pulls them aside and says he doesn’t know if they are having sex or not, but it’s gonna have to stop right now.  They get engaged and as everyone is congratulating them, Sookie looks back at Bill.

James tells Jess she looks happy and she says she is.  He wants to leave so they can be alone, but she doesn’t want to.  Arlene notices Sookie is about to cry so they sneak upstairs to her room to talk.  Jackson listens in on them while they talk in Sookie’s room.  Arlene talks about how she coped through Terry’s death and how she would wear his coat at night.  She says you never get over losing someone you love you just learn to live with it.  However, time and tequila will help.  James and Lafayette talk about his relationship problems with Jessica.  Lafayette asks James about the boy in his story from when he was turned and if they were together.  James tells him they were and he and Lafayette hold hands and kiss.

Sookie and Arlene are drunk.  Pete (the vamp who helped heal Arlene) has been eyeing her all night.  Sookie tells him Arlene has been through a lot and isn’t interested in doing anything with him, but he says he can wait.  Arlene says she has to go tinkle because she is a human.  Once she dodges Pete, Jessica stops her and asks if she’s seen James.  She tells her he went outside with Lafayette, so Jessica goes to look.  She finds James and Lafayette having sex in a car.  She gets hysterical.  He tries to apologize, but she can’t believe what happened.  She goes back inside and asks Jason to rescind James’ invitation into the house.  Jason asked what he did and Jessica tells him James and Lafayette were screwing in the car she and James bought together.  Jason rescinds his invitation and Jessica runs upstairs.  Violet tells Jason he can go after her.  Lafayette asks James if he is okay and he says he wants to be alone, so Lafayette tells him he can stay with him if he needs a place.

Jason talks to Jessica about what happened.  He doesn’t understand how she could have never thought James was gay since he is sensitive and a musician.  She tries to defend James saying he is confused, but Jason tells her if what she saw was happening then it doesn’t sound like he is.  Lafayette knocks on the door and Jessica tells him to go away.  He starts to leave, but comes back and asks her what she knows about James.  When did he turn, who turned him, where is he from?  Does she know that, because Lafayette cared enough to ask him.  He tells her to let James go if she doesn’t love him.  Everyone else is getting married and having babies so is it really so hard to imagine that Lafayette wants to be happy too?  (Nelsan Ellis deserves an Emmy nod for that scene!)

Willa shows up to the party and asks Sookie if she’s seen Arlene and Sookie asks if Willa has seen Bill.  He is outside having another flashback.  Some of the Southerners including Bill’s family are trying to get north.  They almost get caught by some soldiers.  Bill’s baby son starts to cry.  The soldiers move on and they think it’s clear to go, but the black man leading them gets shot.  The officer wants the map they were using to go North and threatens Bill’s life, but he burns it.  His wife saves him from being shot by the officer by standing in front of Bill with the baby.  Sookie comes outside and talks to him for a minute.  He tells her she has done great.  All the vamps and humans are mainstreaming.  He walks her back to the door and re-enacts the night of their first date.  She thanks him for seeing her the way she can’t see herself and gives him a hug.  Sookie gets back inside and hears Lettie Mae thinking about Willa’s blood and how she’ll do anything to get it.  Sookie looks for Willa who is asking Arlene for a job.  Lettie Mae stabs her in the shoulder.  The vamps get ready to fight, but Sam stops it.  Willa heals and the vamps cool down.  Lafayette walks in and asks what happened and Jenny informs him Lettie Mae stabbed Willa.  He says of course she did.  Lettie Mae tells him she needs Willa’s blood to contact Tara.  She says everyone thinks she’s crazy because she used to be an alcoholic, but Lafayette says they are looking at her like she’s crazy because she just stabbed someone.  Nicole says everyone is crazy.  Why are they partying when they just went through what they did.  She says they aren’t normal and this doesn’t happen in other towns (duh, it’s Bon Temps).  Sam takes her home and Violet goes to make sure they get there safely.

Jason tells Jessica he’s not sure Violet is the one.  It meant a lot to him that Gran left him that ring and he would’ve liked to have put it on someone’s finger, but definitely not Violet’s.  Jessica tells him he’s the sweetest man in the world and they kiss.  This of course leads to sex and unfortunately Violet returns.  She goes upstairs to look for them and hears them, but doesn’t go in.

Eric and Pam get dressed for the gala and Pam realizes that Eric is stage two.  He tells Pam he is going to die (no, the HELL he IS NOT).  She covers the visible lines with makeup.  They arrive at the gala and look for Sara’s parents.  Sara corners her mother in the bathroom.  She loads on the bullshit though her mom seems to see through it and asks what she wants.  Sara says she is in trouble and needs help from a higher power.  She asks if Laura Bush is there and her mom tells her no.  She asks her mom to call, but her mom tells her Laura Bush stopped taking her calls when Bill’s book came out and said Sara helped invent the Hep V virus.  She tells her mom she’s not a monster, she’s a Buddhist.  Her mom tells her to get out of there, but Sara tells her the Yakuza are after her.  Eric corners Sara’s dad and glamours him to answer questions, but just as he does the Yakuza enter and start shooting.  They find Sara’s dad and ask where Sara is.  When he says he doesn’t know, they shoot him.  Sara and her mother run, but Sara drops her when her mom can’t keep up.  She continues down the corridor and straight into Eric’s arms.  He starts to choke her, but the Yakuza catch up so he kills them first ripping one man’s jaw out.

The party is over at Sookie’s.  When she gets upstairs Jackson has left Alcides jacket on the bed for her.  She puts it on and lies down.  Bill takes a bath and flashes back one more time.  His two children are dead and he finds his wife at the cemetery.  They claim to be each other’s true love and he promises to come back to her.  He gets out of the tub and looks in the mirror and sees he has stage one of Hep V.

End credits…

How will Violet react to Jason and Jessica?  Is Lafayette’s story wrapped up now that he’s found a new man?  And is there going to be a cure for the Hep V?  All of our favorite vamps can’t die!

Until next week!

Ep 7.4 "Death Is Not the End"

QUICKLOOK:  Pam and Eric return, Fangtasia has a history and Sookie grows a backbone.

Sookie calls Alcide’s father Jackson to let him know Alcide has died.  He tells her he has a few loose ends to tie up and he will be on his way to Bon Temps.  She warns him not to travel at night.  He tells Sookie that he and Alcide didn’t talk much, but he could tell Alcide was happy and that he “loved the fuck outta you.”  Ouch, that had to hurt since she just told Bill she was worried that he loved her more deeply than she loved him.

Jason calls Hoyt in Alaska as “Deputy Stackhouse” to tell him Maxine died.  (Remember Jessica and Jason glamoured Hoyt not to remember them.)  He tells Hoyt she was killed by a vampire.  Hoyt is obviously upset and worries that she died because he left.  Jason gets caught up in the emotion of the conversation and starts talking to Hoyt the way he used to, which confuses Hoyt.

Poor Jason.  Violet killed Maxine and I don’t think she and Jason are going to be together much longer.  Hoyt is coming back from Alaska for her funeral.  Sookie tells Jason he needs to suck it up and keep it together because everyone is looking to him.  Andy is with Holly, which leaves Jason as the leader.  He says he’s not that strong, but Sookie says he has to be.

Pam and Eric are on a plane en route to Baton Rouge.  Eric decides they will land in Shreveport instead.  If Willa is still alive he wants to see her before he dies.  Pam says she hates Shreveport.  Flashback to Shreveport 1986, where Pam and Eric meet the magister of the Authority for the first time.  As penance for their crimes they must run a business in Shreveport.  A video rental store that has an adult section in the basement as well as a hidden tunnel connected to the underground railroad from the Civil War.  Eric also finds out he will now be Sheriff of Area Five.  Eric tells Pam he’s so sorry.

Sookie has a heart to heart with Arlene’s kids and promises them she will save their mom.  In order to find Arlene and the others Sookie must get Holly to remember what happened.  Andy doesn’t want anyone talking with Holly and upsetting her, but Sookie tells her they have to see what she remembers in order to save the others.  Sookie tells her she is there to help her remember and Holly is apprehensive at first, but concedes for Arlene and Nicole’s sake.  Holly describes a bar and Sookie realizes its Fangtasia.  Poor Holly is left sobbing with Andy holding her, because unfortunately, Sookie can’t take the memories away again.

Sam and Jason are on their way to tell Rosie that Kevin is dead, but Sam turns the car around and says he’s going to Fangtasia.  Jason tells him he can’t and pulls a gun on him to make Sam stop.  He finally does because he realizes they will need the vampires help in order to attack the H vamps and save the women.

Jessica hasn’t healed because she won’t drink human blood.  James tells Bill she hasn’t eaten in ten weeks.  They are arguing when Sookie arrives and hears what is going on.  She tells Jessica she can feed from her.  Jessica tells her she shouldn’t trust her, but Sookie says she does.  James and Bill leave the room so they can talk and  Sookie tells Jessica she doesn’t care why she isn’t eating or about her problems.  Everyone is dead and Sookie needs all the help she can get to rescue the people from Fangtasia so Jessica needs to quit whining and eat so she can help.  Jessica says she will help, but she won’t drink Sookie’s blood James calls Lafayette.  Lafayette arrived and convinces Jessica that he has committed just as many sins as she has including killing the man he loved.  She finally agrees to feed on him and heals instantly.  In the other room, Bill warns Sookie that not all the vampires in the area will show up to help because they are scared and their humans aren’t the ones in danger.  She offers Bill her blood so he will be strong since he hasn’t fed in a while.

Flashback to pre-Fangtasia and a nerdy looking Ginger walking in to rent vampire movies for one of her classes at Tulane University.  Ginger turns around and sees Eric and almost has an orgasm just looking at him.  She wants to know if they are hiring and thus starts her illustrious vampire doormat career.

Sam and Jason get to Rosie’s house and tell her Kevin is dead.  They also tell her exactly what the plan is for attacking Fangtasia that night.  Which probably means Vince and his idiot posse will show up.

Flashback to 2006, Ginger is hauling a chair inside (Eric’s future throne) the video store, which now carries TruBlood.  She tells Pam her idea of turning the store into a vampire nightclub complete with a throne for Eric to lord over everyone and do his sexy Eric thing.  She even comes up with the name Fangtasia, Pam glamours Ginger so she can tell Eric it is her idea.

Jason tries to get the team pepped up for the fight by calling it their Normandy.  When no one seems moved Bill tells him what Normandy really was.  There is a knock on the door and Bill goes to answer.  Guess who it is?  Pam and Eric.  Eric tells him Pam informed him Bill wrote a book in which he claims to “not be an asshole anymore”.  Bill asks Eric how long he has been sick.  Sookie comes running up to give Eric a hug and sees that Eric is sick.  Eric summons Willa while he and Sookie catch up.  He asks what kind of trouble she’s been in.  She tells him Alcide is dead and he chastises her because he signed her house back over to her so she could lead a normal life, not end up with a werewolf.  She tells him Alcide died that morning and he apologizes and gives her a hug.  She asks where he has been.  He tells her he went home to Sweden and caused an avalanche that wiped out an entire village.  I guess that’s how he saved himself from the sun.  Then he went to South America, Africa and France.  Willa arrived and calls Eric an asswipe.  She wants to know why he left her and refuses to help the group until he tells her.  He says they will talk later and pulls the “as your maker” line on her.

The gang rallies and Eric tells them there is a secret entrance to the club.  Pam is pissed that they are going and says Sookie is “like a fucking fungus that won’t go away”.  Sam sneaks in to the basement as a rat.  Arlene freaks out a little bit.  Sam tells them the good vamps are there to help them, but he has to leave again.  After he does one of the HV vamps comes down.  Eric is trying to punch the cemented entrance from the street.  He doesn’t have much strength and finally lets Bill break it down.  Pam volunteers to go with Bill and get the three ladies.  When they get there Arlene is missing.  She has just been plucked from the group for feeding.  Bill wants to go get her, but Pam tells him to wait for the others.  Trying to be the hero for Sookie isn’t going to get him anywhere with her tonight or ever.

Eric knocks at the front door telling them he used to be the Sherrif, he is sick and needs refuge and he brought his own human (of course Sookie).  They let him in and they all want to know what Sookie is, but she tells them she is Eric’s.

At the same time the good vamps are going to attack the idiot town posse shows up with Molotov cocktails.  The fight ends up out in the street.  Sookie is still inside with Arlene and Eric.  Arlene needs non-infected vampire blood to give her some strength.  An H vamp comes after Eric, but Bill kills him.  Pam puts out the fire and stops the idiot posse from throwing any more cocktails.  Bill is going to give Arlene some of his blood, but he feels Jessica in trouble and has to go help her.  Sookie sends Eric to go find a clean vamp, but Arlene hears Terry and wants to go to him.  They finally get her some clean vampire blood.  Arlene and Terry talk about the kids and they decide she should stay.  He tells her to be happy.  Outside the others have killed all the H vamps and they notice Eric is missing.  The camera pans over to the minivan and we almost think we’re going to see a for real dead or dying Eric, but he’s just feeding on one of the idiot posse.   He walks in to Fangtasia and looks at Sookie.  She gives him a thank you and smile with her eyes as she hugs Arlene.

End credits…

So, death is not the end.  What is that supposed to mean?  There seriously has to be a cure for Eric because I just can’t handle him dying.  And good for Sookie for finally standing up to everyone in this episode, ie her convo with Jessica.  Sookie always plays the damsel in distress so I was very pleased to see her tell Jessica to get over herself and get it together so they can save Arlene et al.  Six more episodes left and time to go after Sara Newlin!

Until next week!

Ep 7.3 "Fire in the Hole"

QUICKLOOK:  Sara Newlin found a new religion, Eric finds a purpose and the death toll rises.

We find out Sara Newlin fled to Los Angeles and now has brown hair and practices yoga.

We return back to Pam and Eric.  She asks him how long he has been sick he tells her the symptoms started showing about a month ago.  She tells him she tracked him all over the globe including Saint Petersburg and she hates Russia.  She confides in him that she felt Tara die the night before when she was in Morocco.  He sits there silently until she asks if he is going to say anything.  He asks if she played the bucket game and that he liked the bucket game.  She doesn’t understand why he’s not fighting he is “Eric Fucking Northman” and he doesn’t give up, he fights. She wants to know if it is all over Sookie and he says its about Godric, Nora and Sookie too.  (I’m sorry, Eric would never get himself sick over losing Sookie.  He might not like it, but somehow he would carry on in one fashion or another, but whatever…)  Next there is a flashback to Rhone Valley, France in 1986.  Eric is walking through a vineyard seducing his latest human, Sylvie.  She is worried her father will find out about them and she knows he is a vampire.  He tells her if her father found them he would glamour him.  She asks if he would kill her father and he says he would if that’s what she would like.  They go at hit in the grape fields, but Nan Flannigan interrupts them.  She informs Pam and Eric that they should be more careful about what they do and also informs them that a synthetic blood will be coming to market soon, so they will be required to at least look like they are mainstreaming.  Pam says she is on board, but Eric tells Nan the Authority can go fuck themselves.  Once she is gone Pam thinks they should leave France, but Eric doesn’t want to.  Sylvie wants to finish studying art history at the university.  Pam doesn’t understand his attachment to her, as she is only a human.  He asks Pam if he has ever failed to protect her and she says he hasn’t.  He tells her she doesn’t fall in line with the authority, he is her maker and she follows him.

Alcide gets out of the shower and calls for Sookie.  He realizes she’s gone and goes running across the cemetery to Bill’s.  He kicks in the door yelling for Bill, but he and Sookie are in a car driving somewhere.  Bill assures her that Alcide will not be able to track them.  Alcide turns into a wolf and goes running off into the night.  Sookie asks Bill why he can’t feel her anymore because he told her he would have a connection to her forever.  He says that when he was drained of all his blood at vamp camp he lost the connection to her.  She asks him if that means he thinks he has a clean slate with everything he did to her and he says he doesn’t.  He will have to live with what he put her through forever.  He does tell her she will need some of his blood so he can help her carry out her plan.  She agrees.

Wade and Adelyn are still stuck in a cell at the police station.  He wonders if his brother and mother will be okay.  She tries to make him feel better and tells him they made out one time, but a vampire glamoured him to forget.  They are about to kiss when Jessica and Andy show up to save them.  Andy asks who came and what they took.  Adelyn tells them they are out to get anyone who is different and they have all of the weapons now.

Sam talks to Reverend Daniels about everything happening and how he is worried about Nicole and the baby.  Willa comes running in and tells the reverend that Lettie Mae is freaking out again.  She tells him she gave her more blood because she was hurt and she didn’t know what else to do.  The Reverend asks them all to leave.  Sam and his vampire companion Matt run into Vince’s idiot posse blocking the road.  Sam asks what they are doing out there and Vince says they are taking their town back.  They make fun of Sam for being a dog.  Sam asks Kenya how she could be a part of this when she’s a cop.  Then he tells Rocky that if he wants to get his mom back this isn’t the way to go.  Rocky thinks it is because they have the guns.  Vince shoots Matt and kills him.  Vince says Sam tricked them into voting for him and he is the devil.  Vince says he is the mayor now and tells Sam to leave Bon Temp for good.  Sam tells them he belongs there and shifts into an owl to fly away while they shoot at him.

Jason asks Violet if she would consider having a baby with him.  She thinks Jason is turning into a girl.  When she was alive men were warriors.  He tells her he is a modern man and still one heck of a badass warrior.  She says he was a warrior when he got thrown in the cell with her at vamp camp and that’s the man she fell for.  She doesn’t want to be modern.  Andy, Wade, Adelyn and Jessica show up to tell Jason what’s happened.  Violet tells them to leave, but Jason tells them to come in.  When Jess enters, Violet pins her to the wall and reminds her that this is her house.  Adelyn is afraid they might be after Sookie.  Violet offers a truce with Jessica until they find Sookie, but Jessica says she didn’t know they still had a problem and Violet tells her it’s “Pollyana shit like that” that makes her hate Jess.

Lafayette is having a one-man party until James shows up to check on him.  He asks if Lafayette has any more weed, but he is all out.  He offers James some pills, but vampires can’t swallow pills.  Lafayette wants to know what he is trying to escape from.  Apparently he and Jessica live together, sleep next to each other and occasionally have sex, but he doesn’t feel like Jess is really in love with him.  They talk about the last pill James took and Lafayette decides to take a combination.  Then James can drink from him and get high as well.

The HV’s at Fangtasia are going over their human inventory.  They only have two days left of food so they need to go out and hunt again.  Most of them are too weak and don’t want to go.  They decide to bring one of the humans out with them in order to get other humans to come out.  The leader finds Arlene and the others chanting downstairs and asks who started it.  Holly confesses so he decides to take her hunting with them.

Apparently Sookie has decided to be vampire bait.  She wants the HV vamps to take her so she and Bill can figure out where they are hiding.  He asks if he should bring Alcide when he comes to rescue her and she tells him to bring anyone willing to help.  He asks if she loves Alcide.  She says it’s none of his business, but he says he’s just trying to be her friend.  She confesses that Alcide wants children (what, he was totally against it before because he didn’t want to curse a child with the werewolf gift.)  She says she does love Alcide, but deep down she doesn’t think she loves him as much as he loves her, but she should because he is decent and good.  Bill tells her love isn’t always equal.  Maybe she will grow to love him more.

Jason tries calling Sookie, but of course gets her voicemail because she threw her phone in the woods.  They went to her house and found the door open and no one there so he is really worried.  He has to get off the phone because they come up on Sam’s truck in the middle of the road.  They get out of the car and Violet and Jessica both show their fangs.  Then Vince and his idiot posse come out of hiding with their guns.  Andy asks where Sam is and Vince tells him Sam flew off.  They ask Vince to let them through, but he tells the idiot posse to hold their ground.  Maxine declares Jason and Jessica are hers to deal with because they hurt Hoyt and made him leave her.  Jessica tells her she didn’t mean to hurt Hoyt, but people break up.  Maxine shoots Jessica (but doesn’t kill her) and Violet runs to Maxine and rips out her heart.  The idiot posse freaks out and runs into the woods.  Andy calls after Rocky, but he goes with them so Violet offers to go get him.  For some reason Jessica is not healing.  Sam finds Alcide and they almost get shot by the idiot posse, but get away.

Sookie doesn’t understand why the vamps aren’t coming.  She says it’s the wait that scares her more than anything.  You know it’s coming you just don’t know when.  Bill has a flashback to the war, when he wanted to get a family photograph to be able to have with him.  Sookie decides to slice herself open to tempt the vampires.

Willa apologizes to Reverend Daniels about giving Lettie Mae blood.  He tells her it’s not her fault and offers to feed her.  He opens up about his life before moving to Bon Temps.  He and his wife lost a child and she cheated on him.  He started losing his faith and shut himself in his house.  Then one day he got dressed and started driving and came across an old boarded up church.  A woman was outside with a bottle of Captain Morgan and when he got out of the car she asked if he was the reverend.  He told her he was a reverend and she replied that she had been waiting on him.  He says that everyone thinks he saved Lettie Mae’s life, but she saved him just as much as he saved her.  Revered Daniels tells Willa she shouldn’t come around anymore because Lettie Mae will try to manipulate her again.

James wakes up, but can’t rouse Lafayette.  He thinks he may have overdosed, but Lafayette finally comes to.  They have a moment, but James tells Lafayette they can’t do anything because of Jessica.

Another flashback to the vineyard… A bunch of Japanese men show up and take Pam hostage.  Eric is out in the field with Sylvie and Pam interrupts them.  Eric sees that she is not alone.  One of the men tells the others to take Sylvie.  Eric asks why they are here and the man tells him they are representatives from the Yakamora Corporation.  Eric says he understands and will be more careful, but the man tells him that he must choose whether Pam or Sylvie will die.  He offers them money, but they refuse so he tells them to kill him instead.  The Authority wants him alive though.  He tells them not to kill Pam and they kill Sylvie.  Back to the present, Pam asks if Eric contracted the virus on purpose.  He tells her he did not.  She offers to take care of him.  They are working on a cure and vamps are living longer and longer if they have good blood.  She begs him not to make her watch him die.  He tells her she is free to leave, but of course she will not abandon him.  He says he has lived over 1000 years and is tired.  He tells her to go.  Pam tells Eric that Jason let Sara Newlin live.  She’s out there somewhere.  That gets Eric up off of his chaise lounge chair!  Thank god for Sara Newlin!  He wants to go find her.

Sara is of course sleeping with her yoga guru because you know she has to be following some man and become obsessed with him.  He has shown her the way to be free.  She goes to get them a bottle of wine while he draws them a bath.  The Yakamora Corporation seems to have found that she is there.  The guru tells them she is there, but will not tell them where exactly, so they kill him.  She overhears and gets away.

Holly comes wandering wherever Sookie and Bill are in the woods.  Sookie goes to grab her and the HV vamps pounce on Bill.  They put silver around him and are about to kill him when Sam and Alcide attack.  Then Jason and Andy show up and shoot all the HV vamps.  Alcide goes ballistic on Bill thinking he asked Sookie to do this.  Bill tells him it was Sookie’s idea and he knows better than to try and stop her.  Then Alcide gets shot and dies.  Jessica offers to turn him, but Sookie says she doesn’t want to go down that road again.  Andy and Jason shoot the person and find out its Lou.  He is hurt and asks Andy for an ambulance, but Andy tells him “you pulled the trigger Lou, I told you life wasn’t going to be the same”.  Holy shit, I didn’t want Alcide and Sookie together, but I can’t believe they killed him!

End credits…

I guess now Sookie can feel extra guilty for not being as in love with Alcide as he was with her.  Especially since he got killed while he was out looking for her.  I can’t believe they killed him off!  I’m glad Eric now has a purpose and I hope he kills the rest of the HV vamps nesting at Fangtasia.  The body count is rising, who will be next?

Until next week!

Ep 7.2 "I Found You"

We see Eric walking around in some sort of Villa.  Jason has found him.  Eric says he needed space to think.  This is obviously a dream.  Eric asks why Jason came.  They talk about whatever it is between them.  Eric asks about Violet and Jason says he’s crazy about her, but he can’t get Eric out of his head.  Jason basically jumps Eric and somehow throws him on the bed and they kiss, etc...  Jason wakes up in the church with a boner.  Luckily, most people have already exited the church.

The town tries to think of a plan to find the HV vamps.  Sookie tells them she found a dead girl the night before that she didn’t recognize.  Maybe they can find out where she came from and talk to the survivors in that town and track the vamps.  Alcide wants to know where the feds are, but Sam says he hasn’t been able to get a hold of anyone and they will have to fend for themselves.  The reverend asks Sam if there is anything the townspeople could do to keep their minds off of the situation until nightfall.  He tells them to keep busy and be of service.  He suggests they clean up the mess at Bellefleurs so it’s ready when Arlene gets back, but they need to be in their houses by sundown.  Lettie Mae wants to go check on Lafayette since she hasn’t seen him this morning.  Adelyn wants to stay with Holly’s Wade and Rocky, Holly’s sons.  Sam, Alcide, Jason, Andy and Sookie find the dead girl.  Her name is Mary Beth Grant and she is from Saint Alice, which is about three towns over.

The HV vamps at Fangtasia aren’t happy with Ronnie for eating Kevin.  They are rationing their humans so they don’t starve and now they will have to go back out and hunt again.  They fight amongst themselves.  They choose a new reaper, Betty, who used to be a schoolteacher.  She heads down to the basement to pick their next meal.  She and Arlene share a glance and Arlene thinks she knows the woman, but she can’t remember how.  They all panic until some blonde woman is dragged away.  Nicole starts having cramps and Holly tries to calm her down.  Poor Jane Bodehouse is having withdrawals from no alcohol and throwing up all over the place.  Arlene realizes the female vampire taught her and Holly’s kids.  She thinks Betty recognized her and that’s why she picked the other woman to eat.  So Betty may be their way out.  Arlene says she hasn’t survived four husbands, a serial killer boyfriend and a husband with a sordid suicide mission just to die in the basement of a vampire bar.  She will get them out of there, gosh darnit!

Lettie Mae gets to Lafayette’s.  She asks how he is and he says he’s okay.  He asks how she is doing and she says the Lord has shitty timing.  She tells him she and Tara had made peace the night before right before the attack and she also says Tara’s spirit came to visit her in the night.  She needs Lettie Mae’s help so she can get into heaven and she wants Lafayette to use his medium skills to help her.  He tells her it wasn’t Tara, that it was the V she got from Willa, but Lettie Mae insists it was in fact her little girl.  Lafayette says Tara’s gone and she needs to forget her.  Lettie Mae says he is a selfish sinner and he tells her she’s a “trifling drug addict bitch, through and through”.  She tells him he will go to hell and he says her that’s what this is.

Adelyn tries to reassure Wade that Andy will bring his mom home while they are cleaning at Bellefleurs.  Vince trots in and tells the townspeople that Sam left town.  Then he tells them that he saw Sam change from a dog and Maxine chimes in saying she saw a bear rifling through her trash one time so she went to get Hoyt’s BB gun, but when she got back she saw Sam outside her house naked.  Vince’s idiot posse convinces the people that Andy and Sam are vampire sympathizers who will not help them so they need to take matters into their own hands.  They know all of the gun stores are empty, but Adelyn uses her telepathic powers and hears Rosie’s thoughts about where there are a lot of guns.  I’m thinking it’s most likely the police station.  Adelyn grabs Wade and tells him they need to go, while the others are creating makeshift weapons from the wooden handles of brooms, mops and bar stools.

Betty is back for her second reaping.  Arlene and Holly reach out to her, but she says she can’t help them.  If she shows an ounce of mercy the other vamps will kill her.  Arlene brings up the point that she will die anyway.  She concedes that she will indeed die, but she doesn’t even know how she could save them.  Arlene tells Betty she is important.  She helped Lisa after they found out René was crazy and she taught Holly’s boy Wade how to read when other teachers just gave up on him.  She tells them she is scared and doesn’t want to die like this and ends up crying in Arlene’s lap.  She has a relapse and tells them she can’t help them.  Arlene tells her she is going to die a shitty death, but at least she knows when and can do something good beforehand.  She tells Arlene she will figure out some way to get them out and then pulls some man off to be eaten.

Andy, Jason, Sam, Alcide and Sookie get to Saint Alice.  It is a ghost town and the town we saw in all of the teasers for season 7 with the spray paint and chalk written cries for help.  They get out of the car to investigate and each go off by themselves.  Sookie calls them over because she found a mass grave.  The vampires took and killed everyone.

Adelyn tries to convince Kenya that the townsfolk are coming to get the guns from the station.  Kenya finally believes her and they go to hide the guns, but it’s too late, they are already there.  They turn Kenya and she goes to put cuffs on Adelyn.  Adelyn shoots her with her fairy ball and everyone freaks out and starts to attack her.  Jessica feels Adelyn in trouble, but it’s the middle of the day so she calls the police station.  Of course no one answers so she tries calling Sookie.  Her cell phone is lying out in the woods though.  The town posse has gun practice.

Sookie and her group arrive at Mary Beth’s house.  They figure out that the house was occupied less than 2 ½ days ago thanks to Jason’s pizza tasting forensic skills.  The family left a half eaten frozen pizza they had cooked, which Jason tastes and instinctively knows (as only Jason could) that it’s 2 ½ days old.  They decide that the HV vamps must be staying in one town until they drain it dry and then they move on.  They investigate the house further.  Andy tells Jason if he gets Holly back he’s going to make an honest woman of her.  He says, “a man ain’t nothing without a family”.  Sookie finds Mary Beth’s diary and realizes she and Mary Beth had very similar first love vampire experiences.  This makes her think of when she fell in love with Bill.  Mary Beth’s vampire’s name was Henry.  She reads some more and starts to find out what happened in the town and how people started disappearing.  Apparently Henry was infected as well and Mary Beth stayed with her sister’s baby until they were attacked.  They decide they should head back to Bon Temps.

Lettie Mae decides to fry her hand in order to get more blood from Willa.  She goes to the storage basement and wakes Willa up from a dead sleep.  Willa almost kills her, but then realizes who it is.  Lettie Mae shows her hand to Willa.  Willa tells her to go to a doctor, but she says she needs Willa’s blood.  Willa tells her the reverend warned her about giving Lettie Mae blood, but she finally concedes and gives her some.  Lettie Mae goes into a V trance and finds Tara in the woods strapped to a cross with a snake around her.  She speaks a language we can’t understand.  Lettie Mae tells her she needs the answer.

On the way home, Alcide tells Sookie that she is nothing like Mary Beth.  He tells her she had nothing to do with the vamps coming to Bon Temps.  She tells him she knows the vamps are coming back and she’s scared.  He says they can keep going.  They have a full tank of gas and they could save themselves.  She tells him she can’t do that.

Betty offers to be the sleep monitor for the HV vamps at Fangtasia.  They are sleeping in 15-minute intervals.  She runs to the basement and tells Arlene and the rest they have 12 minutes, so they’ll have to be quick and she needs to feed on one of them.  Arlene offers and Betty tells her it has to be the femoral artery, which is the one on the inner thigh, so that no one will see it.  She takes some blood, but it’s too late.  She is to0 far gone and turns into goo.

Jess finds bite marks on her arm.  Andy gets home and searches for Adelyn and Jess hears him in the attic.  She decides to call out to him.  He wants to know where Adelyn is and Jessica says she doesn’t know, but she knows she is in trouble.  Jess says she is going to find her once the sun goes down and wants Andy to come with her.

Sookie and Alcide get home.  He wants to take a shower and get some sleep and in the mean time she walks over to Bills (without Alcide knowing).  She wants to know if he can still sense her fear if she is in real trouble.

Pam is in Rhone, France at a villa that looks a lot like the one in Jason’s dream.  She walks in the gate and says “unfucking-believable”.  She walks in and sees half dressed women leaving, one of whom says, “he won’t take my blood”.  Then we hear Eric’s voice,  “you found me”.  We see him slouched in a chair with dark veins running up his chest.  He has the Hep V virus.

End credits…

WTF, so Eric cheats death by burning in the sun only to get Hep V?  Did he contract in on purpose because of the loss of Nora?  Honestly, I’m an Eric fanatic so any way in which he dies is not going to be good enough for me.  Maybe if he went out in a blaze of glory, which neither of these two situations are, I might be able to live with it.  And what’s with the bite on Jessica’s arm?  Did one of the infected vamps bite her and now she’s on the short list as well?

Lettie Mae, Lettie Mae, Lettie Mae.  I guess I can’t blame her.  The woman’s been through a lot, but damn.  She had finally turned her life around and I can’t believe Willa is so naïve as to fall for the trick.

Will Sookie, Bill, Sam, et al survive the stupidity posse that now has them outnumbered?  I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same thing, but really Kenya?  You’re going to fall for the whole “They are just holding you down because you’re a woman of color” shtick?

What do you think of this episode?

Until next week!

Ep 7.1 "Jesus Gonna Be Here"

My head is still kind of reeling from last season and I feel like I’m letting all of what happened sink back in slowly.  I’m still not sure how I feel about this whole Billith to Hep-V storyline, but it’s what we’ve got and I love TrueBlood so I’ll give it a chance.  I am however pissed that they are STILL stringing us along about Eric.  That in it self better be one damn good storyline!

We left off last season with Pam looking for Eric, who better not have died by burning while sun-bathing on a snow covered mountain.  The search left Willa and Tara as baby vampire orphans trying to make it on their own.  Sookie and Alcide got together and Sookie decided to start dressing like a little old lady instead of the town slut.  (Actually, I don’t think she looked slutty, but in comparison to her flowered dress and hat in the season finale I’m sure Maxine Fortenberry would’ve called her previous attire slutty.)  Governer Burrell’s attempted genocide on the vampires left the humans almost defenseless against a mass army of infected Hep-V vampires with nothing to lose.  The few vampires left who aren’t infected are doing what they can to protect what is left of the human race.  Sam is mayor of Bon Temps and Merlotte’s is now Bellefluer’s.

I’m going to refer to the Hep-V infected vamps as the HV vamps and the non-infected vamps as the NI vamps.  I’m lazy and I’m not continuously spelling those out.  Okay…

We go right back in to the scene at Bellefleurs.  All hell breaks loose at the mixer as a swarm of HV vamps attack the crowd.  The NI vamps do what they can to save the humans, but the HV vamps overpower them.  They end up kidnapping Arlene, Holly, Kevin, Nicole (and Sam’s baby) and Jane Bodehouse.  Sam and Alcide shift to follow them, but lose their scent at the river.  I’m a little confused as to why Alcide would leave Sookie unguarded.  The HV vamps leave a slew of casualties including Tara.  (I’ve wanted her dead for 5 seasons, and when I finally like her you kill her off!  Be careful what you wish for.)  We hear a whistle and all of the HV vamps disappear into the night.

Jason calls Andy and tells him what has happened.  Andy leaves Adeline at home with Jessica outside to guard her.  He tells Adeline not to invite Jess in under any circumstances and then brutally tells Jessica that Tara has been killed.

Inside Bellefleur’s (still weird), Sookie hears everyone’s thoughts and they all seem to want to blame her for being a vampire slut.  She slept with two vampires and I don’t think it had any correlation to what happened.  Well, maybe, but I’m pretty sure Governer Burrell would’ve still gone on to make the Hep-V Trueblood.

Alcide and Sam return.  A man named Vince (who was Sam’s competition for Mayor) sees them change from animals to men.  Bill says the HV vamps will be nesting, so the men decide to go check some abandoned buildings.  Sookie overhears Alcide wondering how she could have ever loved a vampire and basically blaming her for the situation as well.  She has enough and leaves.

Vince confronts Sam and tells him he saw him change from a dog.  Sam tries to convince him otherwise, but it doesn’t work.  So he finally asks Vince to keep his secret, as the people of Bon Temps can’t handle another curve ball at the moment.  Bill commands the NI vamps to escort their humans home and the humans in turn let the NI vamps feed so they can be strong enough to protect them.  He tells James to take Lafayette home.

Sookie walks home by herself while Alcide calls and gets her voicemail.  She is drinking when Alcide gets home.  He yells at her for walking home alone.  She tells him she read his thoughts. She knows she’s not supposed to, but she can’t help it and even he is blaming her.  She tells him she needs to be on her own right now.  After a while she crawls into bed with him and apologizes.

Pam is in Marrakesh, Morroco playing Russian roulette while people bet on who will bite the bullet.  She and her competitor engage in interesting conversation about religion and then the unlucky guy shot himself.  Apparently Pam had to go through all of this to find out a clue about where Eric is.  She enters an establishment and passes a note to a man along with some cash.  He offers her his daughter to drink because all of the adults are infected, but she takes a pass.  He gives her a map of Rhone.  She doesn’t think Eric would go there, but the man tells her the information is correct.  What she chooses to do with it is up to her.

At the Bellefleur house, Adeline opens a window and apologizes to Jessica about Tara.  She tells Jess she has nightmares about the night Jess killed her sisters.  Adeline says she should hate Jess, but she doesn’t.  She asks Jessica about James and they talk about guys for a minute until they are interrupted by an HV vamp, wanting to know what Adeline is.  Jessica continues the stand off for the rest of the night, eventually persuading Adeline to drink some of her blood so Jess will always know where she is.  Dawn comes and Adeline is concerned for Jess, but she will not leave Adeline unguarded.  Finally, Adeline invites her in to stay in the attic for the day and they leave the HV vamp out to burn in the sun.

Jason talks to Violet about Tara.  They get to the abandoned building and find Vince with a group of townspeople ready to tar and feather.  They threaten Jason, which enrages Violet.  She tells them to back off and threatens them.  They finally leave and Jason gets upset with her.  He stops the car and tells Violet that he is tired of her emasculating him.  He is also tired of pleasing her, but them not having sex.  He says they will have sex then and there.  She tells him she has been waiting for this and they go at it.

James gets Lafayette home and he invites James in.  Lafayette says he has to alter his brain before he can feed James, so they smoke some weed.  James says he is sorry about Tara, but Lafayette says he feels relieved.  He grieved the first time Tara died.  James says that all of his friends died in Vietnam.  James was a draft dodger and says he is a pacifist who doesn’t believe in violence in any form.  One of his friends died in the war and he went to his house to pay his respects to the guys parents and the father beat him with a baseball bat and left him for dead.  A vampire found him and turned him.

Willa is trying to console Tara’s mom with the reverend.  Lettie Mae thinks she sees Tara and hears her calling out.  The reverend finally gets her calmed down.  He and Willa have a heart to heart and he thanks her for her help.  Willa tells him she has nowhere to go.  Eric is gone, Pam is gone and now Tara is gone.  She was rooming with Tara, but she can’t take going back there right now.  He lets her stay in a storage building he has which is underground.  (Um, Louisiana is under sea level, they don’t’ have buildings that go underground, but…)

Bill and Andy check out the meat packing plant.  They see immediately that the HV vamps have been nesting there.  They enter a room and find victims who have been strung up and bled.  Andy vomits and leaves the room.  Vince and his band of idiots arrive and pull guns on Bill and Andy.  Bill tells them that Andy is innocent and had nothing to do with the mixer so they should let him go and take Bill.  They tell Andy to leave because he will not want to see what happens next, but Andy says he wants to be the one to kill Bill.  Vince gives Andy the gun and he turns on the idiot brigade.  Andy and Lou have a stand off with Andy finally winning, but the idiots say they will be back for more.  Andy drops Bill off at home and Bill thanks Andy for saving him but Andy says he only did it because he needs Bill.

Fangtasia has been taken over by the HV vamps and that’s where Holly, Arlene, Kevin, Nicole and Jane are held captive.  Chained up in the basement.  They hear the vamps feeding on some poor human upstairs and freak out.  A vamp comes downstairs and Kevin is the poor soul who gets taken.  I really hope Eric and Pam show back up to kick some ass.

Sookie goes to the meeting at the church the next morning and tries to comfort Lettie Mae, but she tells Sookie it’s her fault Tara died and she is not welcome.  Sookie goes to leave, but then tells all of the people that she can hear what they are thinking.  She can’t bring back the folks who are already gone, but she knows vampires and she wants to help.

End credits…

So dammit, still no word on Eric.  I would really think they wouldn’t put this much effort into it if he weren’t going to turn up at some point.  Hopefully to save the day as only Eric can.  We’ve seen Bill’s leadership.  As always, it’s all about Sookie so I guess we’ll continue with that, but it looks like Alcide isn’t the only one vying for her heart and also may not be able to fully protect her.
