QUICKLOOK: Pam
and Eric return, Fangtasia has a history and Sookie grows a backbone.
Sookie calls Alcide’s father Jackson to let him know Alcide
has died. He tells her he has a
few loose ends to tie up and he will be on his way to Bon Temps. She warns him not to travel at
night. He tells Sookie that he and
Alcide didn’t talk much, but he could tell Alcide was happy and that he “loved
the fuck outta you.” Ouch, that
had to hurt since she just told Bill she was worried that he loved her more
deeply than she loved him.
Jason calls Hoyt in Alaska as “Deputy Stackhouse” to tell
him Maxine died. (Remember Jessica
and Jason glamoured Hoyt not to remember them.) He tells Hoyt she was killed by a vampire. Hoyt is obviously upset and worries
that she died because he left. Jason
gets caught up in the emotion of the conversation and starts talking to Hoyt the
way he used to, which confuses Hoyt.
Poor Jason.
Violet killed Maxine and I don’t think she and Jason are going to be
together much longer. Hoyt is
coming back from Alaska for her funeral.
Sookie tells Jason he needs to suck it up and keep it together because
everyone is looking to him. Andy
is with Holly, which leaves Jason as the leader. He says he’s not that strong, but Sookie says he has to be.
Pam and Eric are on a plane en route to Baton Rouge. Eric decides they will land in
Shreveport instead. If Willa is
still alive he wants to see her before he dies. Pam says she hates Shreveport. Flashback to Shreveport 1986, where Pam and Eric meet the
magister of the Authority for the first time. As penance for their crimes they must run a business in
Shreveport. A video rental store
that has an adult section in the basement as well as a hidden tunnel connected
to the underground railroad from the Civil War. Eric also finds out he will now be Sheriff of Area Five. Eric tells Pam he’s so sorry.
Sookie has a heart to heart with Arlene’s kids and promises
them she will save their mom. In
order to find Arlene and the others Sookie must get Holly to remember what
happened. Andy doesn’t want anyone
talking with Holly and upsetting her, but Sookie tells her they have to see
what she remembers in order to save the others. Sookie tells her she is there to help her remember and Holly
is apprehensive at first, but concedes for Arlene and Nicole’s sake. Holly describes a bar and Sookie
realizes its Fangtasia. Poor Holly
is left sobbing with Andy holding her, because unfortunately, Sookie can’t take
the memories away again.
Sam and Jason are on their way to tell Rosie that Kevin is
dead, but Sam turns the car around and says he’s going to Fangtasia. Jason tells him he can’t and pulls a
gun on him to make Sam stop. He
finally does because he realizes they will need the vampires help in order to
attack the H vamps and save the women.
Jessica hasn’t healed because she won’t drink human
blood. James tells Bill she hasn’t
eaten in ten weeks. They are
arguing when Sookie arrives and hears what is going on. She tells Jessica she can feed from
her. Jessica tells her she
shouldn’t trust her, but Sookie says she does. James and Bill leave the room so they can talk and Sookie tells Jessica she doesn’t care
why she isn’t eating or about her problems. Everyone is dead and Sookie needs all the help she can get
to rescue the people from Fangtasia so Jessica needs to quit whining and eat so
she can help. Jessica says she
will help, but she won’t drink Sookie’s blood James calls Lafayette. Lafayette arrived and convinces Jessica
that he has committed just as many sins as she has including killing the man he
loved. She finally agrees to feed
on him and heals instantly. In the
other room, Bill warns Sookie that not all the vampires in the area will show
up to help because they are scared and their humans aren’t the ones in
danger. She offers Bill her blood so
he will be strong since he hasn’t fed in a while.
Flashback to pre-Fangtasia and a nerdy looking Ginger
walking in to rent vampire movies for one of her classes at Tulane
University. Ginger turns around
and sees Eric and almost has an orgasm just looking at him. She wants to know if they are hiring
and thus starts her illustrious vampire doormat career.
Sam and Jason get to Rosie’s house and tell her Kevin is
dead. They also tell her exactly
what the plan is for attacking Fangtasia that night. Which probably means Vince and his idiot posse will show up.
Flashback to 2006, Ginger is hauling a chair inside (Eric’s
future throne) the video store, which now carries TruBlood. She tells Pam her idea of turning the
store into a vampire nightclub complete with a throne for Eric to lord over
everyone and do his sexy Eric thing.
She even comes up with the name Fangtasia, Pam glamours Ginger so she
can tell Eric it is her idea.
Jason tries to get the team pepped up for the fight by
calling it their Normandy. When no
one seems moved Bill tells him what Normandy really was. There is a knock on the door and Bill
goes to answer. Guess who it
is? Pam and Eric. Eric tells him Pam informed him Bill
wrote a book in which he claims to “not be an asshole anymore”. Bill asks Eric how long he has been
sick. Sookie comes running up to
give Eric a hug and sees that Eric is sick. Eric summons Willa while he and Sookie catch up. He asks what kind of trouble she’s been
in. She tells him Alcide is dead
and he chastises her because he signed her house back over to her so she could
lead a normal life, not end up with a werewolf. She tells him Alcide died that morning and he apologizes and
gives her a hug. She asks where he
has been. He tells her he went
home to Sweden and caused an avalanche that wiped out an entire village. I guess that’s how he saved himself
from the sun. Then he went to
South America, Africa and France.
Willa arrived and calls Eric an asswipe. She wants to know why he left her and refuses to help the
group until he tells her. He says
they will talk later and pulls the “as your maker” line on her.
The gang rallies and Eric tells them there is a secret
entrance to the club. Pam is
pissed that they are going and says Sookie is “like a fucking fungus that won’t
go away”. Sam sneaks in to the
basement as a rat. Arlene freaks
out a little bit. Sam tells them the
good vamps are there to help them, but he has to leave again. After he does one of the HV vamps comes
down. Eric is trying to punch the
cemented entrance from the street.
He doesn’t have much strength and finally lets Bill break it down. Pam volunteers to go with Bill and get
the three ladies. When they get
there Arlene is missing. She has
just been plucked from the group for feeding. Bill wants to go get her, but Pam tells him to wait for the
others. Trying to be the hero for
Sookie isn’t going to get him anywhere with her tonight or ever.
Eric knocks at the front door telling them he used to be the
Sherrif, he is sick and needs refuge and he brought his own human (of course
Sookie). They let him in and they
all want to know what Sookie is, but she tells them she is Eric’s.
At the same time the good vamps are going to attack the
idiot town posse shows up with Molotov cocktails. The fight ends up out in the street. Sookie is still inside with Arlene and
Eric. Arlene needs non-infected
vampire blood to give her some strength.
An H vamp comes after Eric, but Bill kills him. Pam puts out the fire and stops the
idiot posse from throwing any more cocktails. Bill is going to give Arlene some of his blood, but he feels
Jessica in trouble and has to go help her. Sookie sends Eric to go find a clean vamp, but Arlene hears
Terry and wants to go to him. They
finally get her some clean vampire blood.
Arlene and Terry talk about the kids and they decide she should
stay. He tells her to be
happy. Outside the others have
killed all the H vamps and they notice Eric is missing. The camera pans over to the minivan and
we almost think we’re going to see a for real dead or dying Eric, but he’s just
feeding on one of the idiot posse.
He walks in to Fangtasia and looks at Sookie. She gives him a thank you and smile with her eyes as she
hugs Arlene.
End credits…
So, death is not the end. What is that supposed to mean? There seriously has to be a cure for Eric because I just
can’t handle him dying. And good
for Sookie for finally standing up to everyone in this episode, ie her convo
with Jessica. Sookie always plays
the damsel in distress so I was very pleased to see her tell Jessica to get
over herself and get it together so they can save Arlene et al. Six more episodes left and time to go
after Sara Newlin!
Until next week!
